In the past month I have received three cash offers from Ford for 3000. They've all had the wrong name on them though. I think it's the guy who lived in my house previously. I've been here 10 years. I asked my dealer today if I could use it and they told me no that there's nothing in my name. Do you think there's anything Ford customer service could do about it?
They can be used by others in the household (1 per household). Not sure if that means you would not only need to provide proof that you live at that address, but also need the person named to verify that they want to transfer it to you. It's worth a call to CS.
Funny thing about these, my brother has received two in the last month and a half at his address, with my name on them. An address I've never lived at or used for anything. I spoke to someone in Ford marketing after the first one, provided them my name and address, they advised there were no offers for me in their system. Would love to know how these are generated.
I called customer service today and told them I was ready to order a truck but needed the name changed on my offer. They told me there was nothing they could do about it that it was handled by a third party.

Not too surprising but was worth a shot. It is pretty well known that a 3rd party handles these offers. That is part of why Ford customer service can't just generate one upon request. They can only input and verify your information to hopefully increase your chance of getting one. Hopefully they did verify/correct your name, address, email info in their system.
I guess the only thing I would have expected them to suggest to you would be to bring the person named on the offer with you. That doesn't sound like a realistic option in your case.

Last week I received a $3,500 mailer. The large amount and that it applied to high demand Super Duty trucks caught my eye. My plan was to trade in/sell my 2015 Expy in about a year or so, I use it as a DD and to also pull my TT. I dropped by the local Ford dealer to see if the deal was legit and it was, off of MSRP. I ordered a 2022 F250 XLT, 7.3, 3.55 locker, 4X4, E mirrors, F4X. Probably won’t get here until mid next year? Funny thing is the mailer was to my wife, I had to drag her down to the dealership to sign, figure she is the responsible adult? Now I owe her big time!
