Exclusive cash offer wrong name

In the past month I have received three cash offers from Ford for 3000. They've all had the wrong name on them though. I think it's the guy who lived in my house previously. I've been here 10 years. I asked my dealer today if I could use it and they told me no that there's nothing in my name. Do you think there's anything Ford customer service could do about it?

They can be used by others in the household (1 per household). Not sure if that means you would not only need to provide proof that you live at that address, but also need the person named to verify that they want to transfer it to you. It's worth a call to CS.

Funny thing about these, my brother has received two in the last month and a half at his address, with my name on them. An address I've never lived at or used for anything. I spoke to someone in Ford marketing after the first one, provided them my name and address, they advised there were no offers for me in their system. Would love to know how these are generated.

I called customer service today and told them I was ready to order a truck but needed the name changed on my offer. They told me there was nothing they could do about it that it was handled by a third party.

They can only input and verify your information to hopefully increase your chance of getting one. Hopefully they did verify/correct your name, address, email info in their system.

I guess the only thing I would have expected them to suggest to you would be to bring the person named on the offer with you. That doesn't sound like a realistic option in your case.

They took my name/address/phone/email.
Yeah, I have no idea who the person it went to is. Too bad I couldn't pose as him. $3000 is a lot of money!
