C-5 transmission

I know the difference between a C-4 and this, my question is do C-4 parts fit a C-5? Like shift kits etc? My lockup feature on my C-5 is not working so I also wonder about changing the torque converter out.

I dont think the C5 like the C4 & C6 had lock up converters?
IIRC the C5 was just a HD C4 transmission kind of like MOPAR's TF904 used on six cly and the TF999(a HD trans) used on small v8 motors and fleet six cly cars.

I dont know if the C4 & C5 parts can be swapped?

Well look what Google has to say

What you know the C5 dose have a lock up converter

Hmm, well by my trucks code it says c5 but doing some more research there is no bump protruding from the bottom of the pan, so that would indicate the transmission has been changed to a c4 at some point. Which I guess would explain why the lockup feature isnt working haha!
