Hi guys. Been a long time since I've been on this forum. I haven't been driving my truck much, but I'm gonna try and change that a little.
So the last couple of times I've drove my truck, I keep blowing the brake light bulb on the drivers side. I even went ahead and replaced the whole brake light assembly with a new Dennis Carpenter one and it still blew the bulb. Could it be just a bad ground wire? I have traced the wires and didn't see any signs of wear, so I guess I will have to crawl back under and look again.
Anyone else have this problem before and found a fix?
Never heard of that before.
Is it the brake / turn part of the bulb and / or the tail light side?
Have you checked what the voltage is going to that bulb?
What if you use the bulb from the other side will it blow also?

When you crawl underneath, check for a rubber 3 wire connector at the rear drivers side. Looks like a trailer connector. Check it for corrosion, clean it with a small wire brush then put a little dielectric grease on it. I had that problem on my '72, but the whole harness in that corner needed to be replaced.
Hope this helped.

OK, I was kind of figuring it was a connector. I will go through the wiring connector and recheck ground wires in a couple of weeks when I get my truck back out of storage. Thanks
