Excursion 4x4 Vacuum Lines

Quick question. I’m not a mechanic so I just want to get confirmation about vacuum lines.
I had my 4 x 4 wheel locks changed from original to manual Warn Hubbs in 2011 buy a local truck shop.
just noticed a small line hanging inside of front passenger wheel. Connected to hub port loose on other end. Same deal on the driver side. I am assuming these are the vacuum lines for the old auto locking hubs system and the truck shop just left them hanging in there half connected rather than take offcompletely The lines are totally dry rotted and cracked and not

Line disconnected

Vacuum line connected to hub

connected. Maybe rather than doing it the right way and putting caps on the fittings
Can anybody confirm that these are the old lines for the original Auto lock system?
thanks

Yes, those are the vacuum lines for your auto hubs. Be sure to cap off both nipples. On the hub/knuckle this will prevent contamination on the bearing in there. On the nipple above near the bottom of the splash shield/near frame. This will prevent a vacuum link for the engine.

ok thank you. Its been this way for 10 yrs with no caps. I’ll have to look for those other nipples by splash guards. Maybe I’ll have my mechanic do it when i get oil change soon.
I appreciate the advice. 👍🍺

I removed mine and capped off the actuator block under the hood so the old lines aren't just hanging around.

Under the hood. Remove it there...if the line is cracked and leaky going to the wheel well, it'll still have a vacuum leak if you don't do it right. Make sense?
