Factory Order
Hey everyone! First post here, I am hoping to get some answers since my Dealership isn't keeping me informed on my order. I was approved for a factory order, signed all the paperwork and paid my deposit for a new Ranger in mid-Sep 2021 and we are now in the end of Nov. My salesman said the truck has been ordered. So I asked for a DORA or VOC from the dealer to at least confirm the build in case I wanted to add anything to it or to confirm everything was put in correctly. I've asked this at least 4 times now and even went in person. My salesman said his manager hasn't given anything to him yet. I ordered the truck while they had their incentives for 2021 Rangers and was told it would be built as a 2022, but with the 2021 pricing. So:
- Why hasn't the dealership given me the proof of ordering and/or the VIN number yet? (they said it would take a few weeks to get the VIN)
- What has been some of your experiences with factory orders?
