Need more information on what you're doing. Obviously the battery doesn't charge all by itself by sitting overnight. Do you mean you have a battery charger hooked up to it? Do you mean will it charge properly the next time you drive it?
My understanding is the battery should still be reset by Dealer or Forscan. Sitting overnight will tell the BLM what state the battery is in, but will not tell it it is a new battery. I'm not sure what (if any) the consequences are if you do not reset it. For me, I doubt I would go to the Dealer, and I do not have Forscan (as of yet). If the phone app version did the reset, I'd love to hear about it, but do not have a laptop to use Forscan, not carrying my desktop to the truck, and the rest of my online is via iPhone and iPad.
The only thing I would have done different is to put the new battery on a charger to ensure it was 100% charged before installing it. Not a big deal though. Sitting for 12 hours should have rest the BLM after having removed the previous battery. Now take it out and drive it around for about an hour.

You may want to read pages 10-12 of the attached document for an explanation of the BMS (Battery Management System) functions within the BCM (Body Control Module).
My dealer wants one hour labor($150) to do the battery reset.I cant see spending that much when the battery only cost $200.
That's bull sheet...
I'd call a better end auto shop in area, surely they can do it. That really disappoints me Ford has such a system in place. Good luck.
My 2020 F150 is the first vehicle I've owned with a BMS and when we put it in storage for the winter (6.5 months)the he battery was fully charged and completely disconnected and will be until the 3rd week in April. Will I have to do anything special when I put it back in service, I've always just hook up the battery and drive it on my past trucks and car.

Lead acid batteries will self-drain after a 4-8 weeks, depending. The process is slower in cold weather, but it still happens. If possible, put a trickle charger on it, or remove it from the vehicle and take it to your garage or basement where you can trickle charge it.
