Hello folks. I am ready to throw down the cash for a set of wheels for the Bronco. I have 32x11.5-15s on right now with stock rims, would a 15x10 rim work on these tires. Also as you all know the tires kind of sit into the wheel well and I am wanting them to stick out a little(give a wider wheelbase), What should the back spacing be if i would buy a set of Thompson Classic IIs? Thanks guys.
I believe 3.5 but not sure. Are you going to a larger tire then the 32's if not i wouldnt go that wide of a rim it would look funny and not hold a beed very well if you air the tires down. I would get either an 8.5 or 9" wide rim will look better but still allow for growth down the road.
Ditto for the fit on those tires with those rims. Your stock 15x7.5" wheels have 4.5" of backspacing. My Mickey Thompson Challengers are only 3.5" backspacing and they push the tires out from under the truck quite nicely without making it look like a roller skate. (I long for the day to put them into service again).
Well, when I stop working long enough to do more than bathe her and keep her fed, I will be doing fine. I have slowly been swapping things from her predecessor, bumpers, turn signal lenses (clear fronts), and the Bassani exhaust *fiendish grin* almost forgot how good they sound with that system under there. Not to steal Masterkiller's thread, but thanks for asking.
BTW, I will have a set of stock 15x7.5's with 4.5" backspacing available just as soon as I can squeeze my M/T Challengers under the new truck.
