Hey folks, just noticed my intercooler hose split and the silver foil liner burnt off part of the rad hose. I have a few options in regards to fixing but im more concerned about the possible causes. Is this just 'one of those things' or could it possibly be a deeper issue? Truck is 2017 F250 Platinum with 40k miles. Just noticed it this afternoon. Changed oil yesterday at normal imterval. Didnt notice it yesterday evening. Ride to work this morning (2 miles 😁 no trouble. Havent drove back home yet. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Actually just had this happen to me. I upgraded with an aluminum pipe from Amazon with heavy duty silicone fittings. $75ish. Couldn't bring myself to pay $300 for the Sinister Diesel version.
I had the same thing happen on my 2017 F250 with about 61k miles on it. I looked around and the local dealer wanted $300 for both the intercooler hose and the radiator hose. I found them online for $150 for both and ordered them online. Replaced both with OEM hoses, but I'll replace the intercooler hose with an aftermarket when I get back to work and can afford one. This appears to be common on these engines and I also had to have a MAF sensor replaced shortly afterwards. Fortunately, my warranty covered it and I didn't have to pay anything for that. The OEM hoses have been fine for the last 10 months and I'm happy with them for now. If you want to save a few $$$'s, go OEM, or spend the money and go with the aftermarket intercooler hose. The radiator hose I found was cheaper OEM. Good luck with your decision.
Thank you for all the responses. I still have plenty of warranty left and will reach out to the dealership. If they cant fix within the next few days, ill look into the aftermarket suggestions.

interesting on the aluminum cold side pipe...can you post a link.
I have an aluminum hot side and would like to change my cold side as well.
Here are the Amazon links to what I pieced together. For some reason my search results wouldn't return anything that fit 2017+ 6.7s so I just assumed the prior 6.7 would be the same. For $75 it was worth the gamble and I could return it.
2017+ intercooler outlet requires a 2.5in ID fitting. The kit supplies a 3in ID silicone fitting. You need to order a 3in to 2.5in 90 degree reducer fitting and cut about 2in off the 2.5 side to make it fit properly in the space available.
Here's everything bolted up. I had no idea how badly my truck was down on boost before the replacement. This kit restored boost and really woke the truck back up. 100% stock otherwise.
