When driving over speed bumps (trailing side of the bump) or over rough roads the truck emits a single warning chime. There are no warning lights or dash lights lit when the chime sounds.

We hear similar in the new 2021 F-150 with all the lane holding and such. Lane holding is off, but I-20 has some bad spots and once in a while you'll hear the ding. You kinda wait for the intercom announcement. "DING - The white zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in a red zone."

The early Excursions had some real issues with the door (and rear hatch) sensors, and an updated sensor was offered later on. Hit a bump and all the interior and running board lights would illuminate. I replaced all six sensor on my '01 Limited, and had no problems with them on my '05 Eddie Bauer.
