I've recently been receiving a "tone" from under the dash when I hit a particularly rough patch of road. It sounds like the same tone sounded when the low fuel light comes on and lasts the same length of time.
When I hear it, I check the dash for warning lights and none are illuminated. There were none light up when the tone sounded while I was looking at the dash either. All my warning lights work on the startup check.
Anyone have an idea what's causing the phantom tone?

Reason: typo
Are you sure its not the tone for an open door? Mine does that from time to time. Make sure the contacts are clean and that all of your doors shut tightly. If they do not, you might need to do the surgical tubing upgrade to your seals.
