I have a 1980s 302 engine that I put a new distributor on and was running great it had probably 3 hours of good run time and then after that I couldn’t get it to fire I checked the distributor and found a bent rotor. I replaced the rotor and still am not getting a spark. Has anyone had a similar issue and found a solution? Thank you.
This is the old old one
New rotor same everything just different color

Why did you replace the distributor? Is the replacement an MSD? You probably have a new part that has already failed.
Looks like a HEI conversion distributor. Most likely the engine had one of Ford's early TFI units on it, and it was converted over to a regular ignition system to get rid of the computer.
