A new reprogramed module is going to run me $300, so I may just run 12volts to the module's brown wire on a switch.... with a in-line fuse. I don't have up-fitter switches. Anyone recommend a fuse to run off of?
The trailer is only a 7x16 enclosed and all led, I would only be lighting the running lights. I could run a tap fuse from something in the passenger kick panel?

What about forscan? been a while since I've opened it and looked at what modules it can see,, but you might be able to fix this yourself correctly and not do a okie fix...
My boat trailer has LED lights all around and I don't have any issues with the lights and the truck not recognizing the trailer.
Same here. I have 4 trailers with factory LED lighting. No problems. Plus a boat trailer that I installed new Harbor Freight LED lights on. It doesn't seem to be a problem for the truck.

I have been meaning to purchase the adaptor for forscan and try and learn about it. I'm not to great with computer stuff, I just wanted to adjust tire psi
If anyone is playing around with forscan, can you check to see if there is a trailer control module that can be changed? maybe trailer running lights are not turn on? wow wouldn't that be nice!

Yes I check all the fuses that are labelled "trailer" in the owners manual , the mini's and those square ones... all good.
