Driver presets gone wild

2016 limited 3.5 n/a AWD

so my driver 1 and 2 presets are the only ones we use and they seem to be losing their mind.
The seat is always off for either setting and the mirrors tilt all the way up and out trying to
go beyond the stops and start “ratcheting”.

hit the button again and the mirrors go
very close to where they should be. Any ideas on where to go with this ??

Have you tried resetting the programed positions?

If it were me, I'd try to reboot the vehicle by disconnecting/reconnecting the battery.

may not do anything, but you never know. I like to try the simple stuff first.

I have attempted that. I should have put the things I have tried but it was like 3am and I wasn’t thinking clearly lol

This is an older thread in a different forum, but it may help:

https://www.explorerforum.com/forums...issues.437550/

I think about the third page in there is a post about a TSB for 2016 models to fix (or try to fix) this.

Also try disconnecting the battery again, but just the negative cable (not both).
