heated mirrors

Has anyone here added heated side mirrors to their truck ? what did you use ? any aftermarket or retrofit ? this looks like the place to get some great ideas.

Thank you for your reply. I found the seat inserts, but could not find the heated mirrors. Does anyone know if the power mirrors for up to 1996 are heated ?

I looked at the ad closer, and the retro-heated mirrors they have are for GM trucks.

Still might be an option if they would fit the contour of our doors, I have some friends that are GM guys, maybe i can borrow a factory mirror to see if it could be made to fit.

You might be able to modify the GM mirror to bolt to the Ford mirror frame, like mount the mirror with part of the little 90 degree "arm" cut off and bolt it somehow to the Ford frame.

Thanks Diesel Brad, I think that is the way to go for me. I used a 89 bronco dash that had rear defrost in my truck so I already have the switch. I think I will get a couple of those and try it.

Heated mirrors? You like on the north slope or something? Get real, it's a truck.

It's what makes projects fun...you can add things you -want-, even if you don't -need- them.
