Remote Keyless Entry 1998 Ranger
I cant get my remote keyless entry to work...The doors lock and unlock from inside...The vehicle will not go into the programming mode...What can I check to see what the problem is?..Thanks a lot

Yes..I put new batteries in the remote...I cant seem to get it to go into programming mode and dont know where to look for the relay or the transmitter to check them out. Thanks for replying. Anything else would help too. Thanks

When I lost one of my Ranger remotes, I had to take the replacement to the dealer and get both remotes re-programmed. The ignition cycling procedure did not work for me, and there was nothing in my owner's manual about it. Read Here.
I was told by the dealer that I had to have two programmed remotes before I could re-program them myself.
