I'm in the process of converting to one piece side windows. The glass is in the door on the the stock regulators. Yesterday I marked the glass with a sharpie where the rails were to put the grip tape on. After that, everything just went to hell. The clips were hard to get back on. Everything just seemed to be bound up. Remove the grip tape and guided the window as I rolled it back up. Anyone else encountered this? Can I not use the stock window regulators?
I removed my wing windows in my 48 F1 and replaced them with one piece glass Notice in picture, attached, of the forward guide piece that the mirror is attached to. Note the template I made to insure a smooth fitting. I hope this helped.
