Have you seen the pricing on new/used travel trailers? Wow. Seriously thinking about selling our travel trailer and steping into a 5th wheel (Artic Wolf 3550 suite).

The only problem with that is you will be pay FAR CLOSER to msrp on the new camper. It used to be you could get 20-25% under msrp, now its like 5-10%

True, but the used market is about double of where it should be....still money ahead. Now, the big question is product quality. The RV industry is well known for crap quality in pre-covid times. What will it look like now?

Clearly no better and some in the industry are saying it is worse. I am still consulting at one dealership on a part-time basis and I don't see much change. More electronics which are always a concern and certainly with all the slides more areas that can pose problems. At the least I expect "crap quality" to continue, why should it change?
One I'm looking at is a 2021 unit and has an msrp of $71,384.00 and a sale price of $47,999 (33% off).
That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. We got about 22% off MSRP on our 2021 Rockwood 2621WS a few months ago and I was happy with that, because it was the layout we really wanted after we did our research. I've heard all the horror stories about build quality during Covid, but I'm happy to report the quality in ours has been good. The only things I've had to fix so far were small water leaks at three different places. In each case, the connection fittings were a bit loose and a simple hand tighten fixed it.

Our current 2017 Rockwood has been decent, once the initial "building bugs" were worked out.
In regards to pricing, the more things seem to change the more they stay the same. Decades ago the average discount was 18%, then it jumped to 20% and moved up from there all the way to 30% not very long ago at all on some models. Now it is back down to 20%. Just depends on how hard dealers have to fight for buyers and units from suppliers.

Sadly RV build quality issues long pre-date COVID, been going on since we purchased in 2012.
