So I decided to put new pads and rotors on my 2011 F250SD 4x4. When I removed the rear rotors the emergency brake shoe were jus kind of hanging. when I did some looking I realized the pins that holds the shoes in place pulled through the backing plate. I tried new pins but the holes in the backing plate were rusted and the pin pulls through. I looked up new backing plates on the Dorman website to get an idea of cost but it says they fit a DRW. My truck is a SRW. Are they the same plates for either configuration?
Not sure about your fitment but I ended up just disabling mine in the meantime and carry a large wheel chock with me if I have a load I have someone throw under the tire in the meantime.
Not ideal but its the least of my worries really. When or if you do replace it, go get some fluid film and give it a light coating without over spraying it to help protect it.
The parking brake on my F-450 did not work, so asked my shop to fix it, he wound up replacing the rear brakes incl rotors, calipers and all, and said the cables were shot and not to replace them. He said the cables get stuck, and will not release your rear brakes and wind up burning up. Said just to shut the truck off if I need parking brake. Will have to get a pair of those rubber chocks.

Not sure about the plates, but here's a great thread I used to replace mine.
