Can anyone tell me if the por15 chassis black is a semi gloss . I have a customer that wants a snowmobile chassis painted but doesn't want gloss or flat . We used to be able to buy a flattening agent that was just added to paint but is no longer available .

I painted my frame last year, I think it was with chassis black. No it’s not semi gloss. For under my hood I wanted semi gloss so I used Eastwood under hood low gloss black over epoxy primer. Looks really good.
It is definitely a really nice satin black. Not matte, not semi gloss, to me the true definition of a satin finish.
The paint is awesome to work with out if the spray can. If sprayed in one light coat to start and then a couple of medium coats it levels flawlessly and covers the best of any spray can paint I have ever used. As a result it is actually cheaper to use as it goes so much further.
I am personally not a big fan of POR-15...I use KBS Rust Blaster which comes in a variety of of colors and finishes. I use the satin black quite often when I am looking for an OEM finish.
I used Rustoleum Farm and Equipment low-gloss black with a touch of hardener on my truck frame. I don't know how durable it will be, but it looks pretty good.
