Ordered a 2022 f-350 Dually with the ultimate trailer package kit. My question is does it come with the Pitch/Ya kit? Reason I asked is that I see some for sale on Ebay, and reviewers say not to waste my money as Ford includes it with your order. I will need this, as I tow a 5th wheel camper. Please no guesses lol
You have to get BOTH the 5th wheel prep AND the Pro Trailer Backup Assist to get the yaw sensor and the 7/12 pin connector in the bed.
Yep. ^^^^^ Even with a lowly 7.3 you get the yaw sensor as optioned above. I have no clue as to why anyone would sell theirs on Ebay, but a reason to buy one is if you have more than one 5th wheel/gooseneck trailer.
Yes.. sorry I failed to mention that I did order both the 5th wheel hitch kit AND the pro trailer assist system. So thank you for the answer. It's what I was hoping to hear. Have you actualy used it on a 5th wheel, and how do you like it.. Is it really a help?
If you want to use the little **** on the dashboard to back up your gooseneck or 5th wheel... then it's a help. If you don't use that, it's useless. You know what would make it more useful - if you could set up a max angle per trailer, and get an alert if you get to that threshold. Like with my Reese Goosebox, I can get something like 75 degrees before the nose of my 5th wheel gets really close to my rolled up REV tonneau cover. Setting an alert that chimes when I get to that, would be nice rather than having to monitor that dimension along with the trailer, the sides of the truck, traffic, pedestrians, etc.
