What is it?

Hello what is the silver container looking thing. Seemingly a secondary oil filter of some kind on my 1975 ford ranger XLT with a crate 390 in it.
Thank you erietim the white lines were just pointing out to someone where it hooked into the oiling system

It is the sending unit for your oil pressure gauge.

X2. That is the oil pressure sending unit. It should be up high behind the intake manifold on a 390 if I'm not mistaken.
