Thanks for the quick response fellows and I am not getting round to well in here so I can't check who but they correctly stated that the stock pressure gage isn't in use.. now second part of my learning it is leaking pass the little nut big time is that something I can just tighten up if loose or is that nut an adjustment or something thanking y'all again
Replace it, X2 on cheap. Also in that pic that sending unit is it NOT connected to anything. So it is not working for sure. There should be a one wire (usually a 90* slip on connector) hooked to the threaded stud on the end. Also interesting how is it adapted in there with the 90* fitting. Maybe that is a 390 thing?
You need to replace it, they're cheap and easy to get.

Thanks I only got the truck in the spring and it basically sat with out me during any thing to it until I came back after camp closed got it running so I can store it this winter there is an oil pressure gage reacting to something so if this isn't what sending the reading I wonder if I need it i guess I will stick another on there until spring when I dive into this more thank you
I think the FE 390 guys know more about it, if you have a oil pressure gauge (OEM or aftermarket?) giving you a oil pressure reading that is a good sign. Does that fitting where the sending unit is attached have a T and another line coming off it? Like a solid copper or plastic line going to an aftermarket oil pressure gauge?
Is it your factory oil gauge working or do you mean an aftermarket gauge ? this is for your factory gauge.
If you don't care if it works you could just put a plug in it's place.
