Another No Start Thread...
I do not know how many miles on the starter. It would definitely benefit from a high torque starter!
I have an update to the troubleshooting. I managed to win a bid on a MT2500 with applicable cartridges. I pulled a laundry list of codes from the PCM, all surrounding IDM/injector circuit. I recorded and cleared the codes then attempted to start it. These are the codes that came back.
P1298 - IDM Fault
P1293 - High side open bank 1
P1296 - Multiple faults bank 2
NOW! Here is my question. When performing injector solenoid ohm test, I noticed A SINGLE injector on bank 2 with very little resistance, say 0.3 - 0.4 ohms. (The previous owner claimed to have replaced the IDM with a lower quality reman (budget limited) and it ran for a while and died again.) Is it possible the high voltage circuit is internally shorted within the injector? And causing the IDM to fail internally? All other injectors were around the 2.4 ohms.
The only thing I have not tested electrically in this circuit would be the injector harness to IDM. I see the first 2 codes listed as IDM related, but the P1296, is that IDM related as well? Thanks in advance!
