E4 OH NO

I have a 1996 f350 drw 7.3l 4x4 automatic with 130k. While cold and at lower RPMs the transmission shifts soft but as should once fluid is hot or under hard acceleration it wants to slip in 2nd and 3rd especially. Dropped the pan and changes filter and fluid also added inline filter in the hose to try and correct it with slight but almost unnoticeable change. Thinking it could be bad torque converter or transmission oil pump. What do yall think?

Pull codes first,with ForScan for example.
Generic readers will not work with these engines/trannys.

if there aren't any codes then what?
also no flashing on the overdrive light not sure if that matters
