My son just purchased this truck. It looks like it was originally a mark 3 but it doesn't have all the lower panels on it. Is there a way to identify if this came that way or if someone just found some parts for sale and added them to the truck. I'm assuming these parts are no longer available if he did want to add the rear half to complete it. Any info on this specific model would be appreciated and I'll let him know. Thanks.
I just found the original build sheet under my bench seat. It was in between the spring and the foam.
If you have one under your seat, that may help identify.
I've seen some 'Nite' edition trucks with the same body kit.
There's a green one around where I live and has full kit, I'll try and snag a picture.

Nice, does your truck have the full kit with rear wheel flares and lower panels or does it look like my sons truck above? We're trying to determine if the missing pieces was deliberate or just removed.
I've seen the Choo choo customs on el Caminos and GMC's, didn't know they did Fords as well. On the Mark 3, there are quite a few out there with complete wheel flares etc. I found this from an old post on this site. For some reason my son's truck is only half done.

Yours is missing pieces, either the front was added without the rear, or the rear was removed.
Not an original factory Ford thing.
I personally do not like them, looks like an 80s era generation thing on a 90s truck stuck in the 70s.
I would also suggest taking them off and hold onto them in case you find someone parting one out in the future. It will look a touch odd due to the bottom of the cab not lining up with the bed, but it's not terribly noticeable, about 1 1/2". Mark III conversions are pretty cool. I really like all the wood trim and over console, only thing I don't like is the power rear sliding window. I've repaired it twice, soon it will be replaced with a standard manual slider. Overall your son's new truck looks pretty nice man. I'm looking forward to seeing some more posts about it. One might say I have an affliction for the Flaresides lol
