That is phenomenal! Thanks. I'll look up their YouTube channel.
You do not have to do what he did in that video, he took much more apart than necessary. I've had to change that light twice now. Also, if yours has the spot lights make sure to get the correct light.

Same here, I think the best price I found was somewhere around $120-130 shipped.
Keep in mind if you watch that PTT video that it is not a tutorial for replacement of that light, more of an overall breakdown of the mirror assembly. There are steps that you will be doing but also some that are absolutely unnecessary. You won't need to remove the entire assembly from the truck, you won't need to remove the mirror motors or the front plastic half like he does. The first step, that he doesn't do, would be to remove the puddle light from the bottom (and temp sensor passenger side), super easy. Next the mirrors, then screws (5), then release upper clips for the top cap, then work the whole back half off.
I’ve done it. It’sa pain but you can do it. The tedious parts are taking the mirror off of the motor and reinstalling the flood light/camera. Good luck.
Has anyone figured out how to remove the top cap without breaking off the center tab? I recently had to replace the entire drivers mirror ($1500) on my 2020 after smacking mirrors with an oncoming truck in VT. That WILL get your attention! The top cap was swapped from the old mirror and the center tab was broken off in the process.

I haven't tried removing the top caps, but it looks like taking the mirror apart as would be done for this mirror light r&r, would give access to all the clips for the top cap. It might be possible to get to all the clips just by removing the top mirror.

The top mirror doesn't provide enough access. It does help with some of the outer clips but not that middle one. Lot's of layers there. However, the top cap doesn't seem to be affected by the broken middle clip. I agree it's there for a reason but I'd guess that even if the dealer did the swap, that middle clip would be "absent" after surgery.
