Disabling Window Opening Feature

Apparently, if I press and hold the door unlock button on the key fob, the driver and passenger windows will open even with the engine off. I need to disable this feature. In my opinion, it’s dangerous feature that could allow someone to steal my truck while I’m shopping. The windows could open while I’m walking away from the truck. How do I disable this feature????

Thank you!

In the instrument cluster. I think it’s under “vehicle”.

I read your post as you are concerned that the unlock button might be inadvertently pressed and held as you walked away thus opening your windows. In this scenario. if you disable the windows down feature, the truck will still be unlocked because the unlock button was pressed. Doesn't matter if the windows rolled down or not.

This windows down feature is nice if your truck has been sitting out in the hot sun. You can roll down the windows as you approach the truck and vent some of the hot air before getting in.

Shawnee1's thought was the same thought I had. Even if you disable the windows opening, your doors can still be unlocked. I mean I guess it would be less obvious for the doors to be unlocked than for the windows to be open, but still. To disable the feature, go through the display in the cluster. Should be under vehicle settings or something like that. The feature you're looking for is called "global open".
