My F150 Started to over heat when driving so I changed the thermostat and bled the coolant system now its sitting at 3/4 of the way (but not moving from there) on the temp gauge is that normal for it..
You need a way to "know" what the coolant temp is when this happens.
A cheap HF IR temp gun could work for this or an after market gauge. It could be the gauge is flaking out or really be a cooling issue. Once you know that we can look at how to fix it. Dave ----
Is it possible some of the tubes in the radiator have become clogged?
Or the gauge or sending unit is bad
Again till you know what the coolant temp is you are just guessing it is hot..
Then again what is hot??
Could be coolant is 100°f and the gauge reading hot you don't know do we??
