vinyl stickers

This truck is up for auction on eBay right now. It suuuure is purdy, but beauty is only skin deep and l really don't need another hobby.
But l was thinking (l know: dangerous) my wife owns a sign shop...she puts vinyl graphics on a lot of logging trucks, company vehicles, her Cadillac...
So l did a bit of a web search and found this website Phoenix Graphix: Car Auto Decals Graphics, Factory Restoration Stickers and these Free Wheelin' stickers

These are expensive: $700 but they have lots of other stripe kits in the $300--$400 range for dents. Interesting browsing, eh?
So l was wondering if anyone here has any experience with these vinyl tape stripe kits from this or any other vendors.
Of course the condition of your existing paint will be a factor, in order for the graphics to adhere properly?
Any other considerations, comments or advice is surely welcome. l'm interested to hear your input.
Thanks.

scott79: Thanks buddy. It's good to know this is a quality outfit. My wife uses the 'ten year' vinyl, which is the good stuff IIRC. She also does road signs for Forestry in reflective. Although a repaint is not in my immediate future, it's nice to know where to find stripes if l ever decide to restore Cooter. l just thought those Free Wheelin' graphics looked so good, and Phoenix Graphix has a LOT of stuff, when it comes to vinyl tape stripes.
It's also nice to know a fellow FTE member who is interested in this kind of work. My wife actually enjoys installing the stickers and has even considered trying full body wraps.
I'm glad to see they're making the free wheeling kits now. I have a '79 f250 4x4 free wheeling package my dad bought new. now I'm more interested in restoring it to original.
I will never understand why it took so long to reproduce these stripes. the factory installed ones were rare but not nearly as rare and the '78 J10 Golden eagle I have and they've made those kits for years.

New "base white paint" is like a fresh canvas. Some of these schemes do look pretty nice.
That Ebay one has the dent strip, and no tailgate or upper bed side stripes when I looked it up, but PG listed them. Also has an in cab tank from looks of it?
Totally wrong hubcaps on a 1/2 ton as well. 16" wheels obviously and incorrect for 1978 in the first place. but I kind of like it.

440 sixpack: speaking of hubcaps, these are our not-exactly-correct dog dish hubcaps from my late father-in-law's '81 bullnose F-150.
Most of those Wimbledon White rims came off his truck too. Now l'm wondering, did l just hijack my own thread?
Anyhow, my wife came home pretty excited. l sent her the same link to Phoenix Graphics and she spent 20 minutes browsing their website.
Thanks for the replies. lt's reassuring to get good feedback about any vendor. After all, these stickers ain't cheap.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
I hated the free wheeling package when it was new and teased my dad about buying one, now I really like it and I want them back on it. and maybe the ugly '79 hubcaps too. I really can't believe it .
redroad: One of the logging trucks in town was purchased out of province, and was completely wrapped in black before it was delivered.
lt seems to hold up to the cold, mud, snow, gravel and other extremes of their typical work environment. (frozen tundra)
Here's the catch: Nobody in northern BC does this kind of work. That logging truck was wrapped in Calgary.
Sure, there are probably places in the lower mainland (Vancouver/ Sunshine Coast) or in the USA (a long drive for a "paint job")
So yeah, we have talked about it before, but a bit concerned about diversifying too quickly.
Some of those "How To" videos on YouTube make it look fun and profitable.
Then this one Phoenix Graphix 1977 Ford F100/150/250 Explorer Custom Truck Decal and Stripe Kit interests me too, but I'd prefer a redder red, not a faded looking red / almost pink as pictured.
Then there is this ... wonder how it'd look in the silver/black option on white? Phoenix Graphix 1978 Ford F-100/150 Ranger Explorer Truck Decal Kit ... I guess silver where the pic shows chamoise, and black in place of the orange ... or have I got it backwards?
But that lead off photo above ... the SB on Ebay ... is pretty.

Impressive!
One of our member's Truck with the "Free Wheelin" stripes
I've done some wet installs of vinyl, wide striping, etc. ... be a good Spring time exercise I think. I may still go white over red, but this idea of a Free Wheeling look is growing fast on me.

the full body wrap stuff certainly has peaked my interest
