I've been planning to do this for a while, have had a few inquiries, and I am now able to move forward with it. The pickups with the stripes seem to be less common than the Broncos, and I haven't had nearly as much interest, but there are a couple of very interested guys. One of those gentlemen managed to acquire the piece I was missing: the bedsides. My vendor recently finished the new layout, and I need to decide how many sets to order, and the configuration.

At this time I will only have these for the 8' longbed trucks. The problem is the fuel door configuration. Some trucks have the dual tanks, some don't. Dual tanks seems to be the most common configuration for the '79 trucks I see, at least here in Oregon.

If anyone is interested, or knows someone who might be, get in touch with me. I really need to get at least 4 people willing to put down a $200 deposit to make this happen. I'm going to keep a set myself, and hope to find the right truck to put a set on. Something like this:

I recently came across your post regarding the 1979 ford freewheeling decals for an 8 foot box w/dual tanks & was very pleased to see that someone (yourself) has taken the initiative search into the re-making of the decals. I personally owned the freewheeling bronco & truck years ago & loved them so much that I still search for them today. if there is any possibility that I can purchase a couple sets, I would be so happy. if you can help in anyway at all please let me know. hi I have a 79 free wheelin truck and would like to have a set of stripes as I am in the process of restoring it but it is a short bed is there any wat of getting a set for it it is an original chromatic stripe truck and would love to keep it that way
