Hi everyone. First post since joining. My 2020 F-250 was lifted prior to me purchasing it with a Fabtech 4-link system. Steering was a little sloppy and I was getting some AdvanceTrac and other related codes when I got it, so I got under there, noticed the pitman arm was loose, so I torqued it down to 350+ ft/lbs, and it is nice and tight now. Still, I'm getting regular AdvanceTrac, Hill Start, Drive mode unavailable errors that clear on a key cycle. I used Forscan to look at the codes, and they are primarily voltage related and from the steering/ABS systems. See attached. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you. -Sean
There are a multitude of possibilities. First, verify the track bar frame mount end is tight. If it moves at all it will cause a steering fault.
A bad ABS wheel sensor can cause the fault as well.
Once you get the front end mechanically squared away it may be necessary to have a steering angle sensor calibration performed.
track bar bracket is super tight and frame end of tb is 400 ft/lb
Here’s something else. Driver side battery positive terminal was VERY corroded. Twice on start up I got a short crank when pushing button. Took another push to start. Also, clock has been defaulting to 24-hour mode daily. Cleaned up terminals and greased. Put it on a battery tender, and this morning started up fine, no issues with clock or Advancetrac. Maybe I have a battery going bad at 1 year?
