Procomp lift question

I am doing Pirate 4x4's Procomp 4" lift on my 2005 V10 Excursion. Do I need the PMF tang plates and a rubber bump stop piece if I am not doing airbags?

Safer with bump stops but you would be be far from the first to leave them off.
I recommend them.

Is there a recommended bump stop to use on the PMF tang?

The whole point of using the PMF top plate is you retain the factory bump-stop.

there are many other ways to go about modifying or changing the bump stop to work but most people do not want or have the ability to cycle the suspension and do the fabrication required. The pmf top plate is just an easy solution made even better since adding it can be also be used if air bags are added.

So I finished and everything is good except the front is sitting 1" higher than the rear...any ideas? 27" center of wheel to arch in the back, 28" center of the wheel to the arch in the front. 2005 V10 4WD.

put some miles on them and they should settle down at least 1/2” if not 3/4

28” is proud, possible your shackles are over tightened keeping the spring from completely settling ?

I just finished mine also. I didn't go with the top plates, or axle shims as of right now (I messed the first set up by drilling the center hole out, I didn't realize they were bolt on)

No driveline vibrations so far, I've put 150 miles on them.

About 200 miles and still 28.25" up front and 27.25 in the rear. The rims and tires will get replaced as soon as I figure the suspension out, they are a bit truck bro for my taste.

Remove the bottom leaf should drop it about an inch

Removing the bottom leaf up front won't cause any issues with the ride?

I just did this lift on mine. I transferred the anti wrap leaf in the rear to the procomp springs and removed the block. The anti wrap bumpers don’t ride on the springs. Haven’t decided if I should try to extend them or not.

I skipped the pmf tang plates as it didn’t look too likely they’d hit the bump stops. I did 2 degree shims front and rear with the fat side facing the rear of the truck in both instances. I wish I’d gone 3 degree up front. My caster ended up at 5.24 and 5.48. It’s much better and not worth redoing the job for the extra degree.

Mine appears to be level. The only thing I’d suggest, is with the tires on the ground, loosen all the leaf spring bolts and then retorque them.
