Thanks, I'll try that first.

I did the tangs, not the anti wrap leaf, the 2* shims both front and back and my caster ended up around 6*. Truck rides better and handles better, but the 1" high up front is driving me nuts.

It might be a combination of the added leaf in the rears and the weight of the 6.0 up front that’s keeping mine level. Someone in a Fb group mentioned they used a 1” tapered block in place of a rear shim to keep their 4” procomp lift level on a v10.

It's important to remember that The ex has a rearward sloping roof and to get the "look" of level requires the rear to be an inch or two higher in hub to fender measurements to be "level" in appearance.

I have the same lift on my 2002 V10, and it's level front to rear. I haven't measured it lately but the last time I measured it was 271/2 front and rear. That was after a year and it had not settled at all. From your pictures I noticed you front springs have a little more arch in them than mine. My front springs have a mild "W" going on. I think there are pictures of mine around here somewhere I will try post pictures.

This is the link my original build thread. It clearly shows the "w" in my front springs. I've been thinking about changing mine out for a new set of ICON or Atlas springs. My thought is I may get a little better ride with their progressive rate set up's. I'm won't be doing any really heavy towing so my air bags should be sufficient. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...6c7ad006e6.jpg

”better” ride is achieved by changing shocks to ones that have different valving.

shocks control ride quality
springs support payload.

your front springs are fine. That bend in them is normal.

icon or atlas springs are not progressive rate, it just means they use different length leafs or progress lengths to achieve the desired spring rate. Your current springs also use a progress length to get their final rate.

Let me be clear I am well pleased with the ride and handling of my Ex. I was only thinking about it. I ain't gonna "fix what ain't broken". I was worried about that little wave in the front springs. They have been that way from day one. Thanks for the advice.

Mine has that very slight wave in the front as well after install and setting it back on the wheels.

Mine appears to have settled slightly. Initial post install measurements were right at 27” front and 28” rear. Today I checked again and it’s 26.5” front. Rear is 27.5” on the driver side but 27.75” passenger side.

Ok I just measured mine. 271/2 front and rear on the passenger side, and 271/4 (give or take) on the drivers side front and rear. The pad I'm parked on isn't exactly level so that have impacted the measure. BTW mines a V10.

Worxman, that extra inch up front is good for your bumper and winch mount. You'll be perfect.

So I did the same lift on my Ex last year with no bump stop. After off roading a few times and bottoming out my rear suspension, the rear lower shock mount twisted on the axle and caused the rear shock to rub on the ubolt and leak. I only had about 4" of compressed travel from resting.

Gonna either find a Bilstein 5125 that works, or install the bump stop tange. I'd like to have a bit more shock travel though.

@pirate4x4_camo I have a question regarding shocks for the front of the excursion.
if I remember correctly the front of the excursion sits about 2” lower than the f-250.
bilstein list the same shock number for 4-6” lift for f-250 trucks and excursion’s however a 2” lift on an f-250 is a 4” lift on an excursion. So wouldn’t it be better to get 2” lift shocks for a f-250 with this procomp setup? As the 4-6” lift shocks for a f-250 are 6-8” lift on an excursion.

This is directly from bilstein and as you can see they list the same part #’s and same lift size for trucks and excursions.

Scroll down the page to the 5125 custom fit applications.

measure mount to mount at full droop
get a shock that is at least 1/2” longer than that so it doesn’t pull apart at full droop.

valving wise, go with the mid range offering for 35ish tires.
