LED lights in console safe?

I just installed a console vault in my truck. I would like to install LED lights that come on when the lid opens, so on some sort of pressure switch. I'm sure somebody has done this, just looking for ideas.

Thanks!

Just wire the LED's to a momentary switch on the the lid so as the switch depresses it cuts the power and when the lid opens the switch closes and creates the circuit for the LED's, you may have to solder a resistor into the wire to make the LED's work, I'm not sure about that.
