534 distributor

534 distributor
Hello everyone! I'm working on a 534 in a 1974 l880 truck that had a blown head gasket. In the process I cant get the distributor to budge. I'm probably going to break it to get it out. What other distributor will fit in this engine? Is the y block the same? I can't seem to locate one for a 534.

I could find nothing else about distributors and if they interchange with any other series like FE or Y. It was said you could get a rebuild at NAPA. I found an electronic one:

That might be complicated to make work due to the electronics.
I would try not to break the one in there.....

I don't know of any distributor that fits but one for a 401, 477 or 534
I may be wrong as it's been a few years, but I don't remember removing the distributor when I pulled the intake and left head on the 534 I had
But old timers memory isn't helping

I did get it out. I heated around it with a torch and got it to break loose then it came right out luckily.

If you want to eliminate points, the Pertronix setup fits that distributor just as it does all the other Ford distributors. Serving suggestion.....
