Question Upfitter switches changing on 2022 models?

I've ordered a 2022 F-250, but haven't taken delivery yet.

Upfitter switches is something i specified, and I've seen numerous applications of them in various places -- forums, youtube, etc. However, when browsing through the 2022 Super Duty Owner's Manual I found online as a PDF (dated April 2021, First Printing), I found that the upfitter switches seem to be different from what I've seen and read previously. Looking further, I found a document from Ford designated Q-252 which looks exactly like what I've seen previously, and definitely conflicts with the Owner's Manual I found.

More spedifically... Q-252 shows aux switches 1-4 have relays rated at 25A, and 5-6 have 40A relays. The Owner's Manual I have specifies the switches have relays fused at the following values, in order: 10A, 15A, 15A, 10A, 5A, 5A.

I was wondering if someone with a 2022 F-250 or F-350, with upfitter switches, could check their Owner's Manual (page 617 in my PDF) and under their hood, and see what they find there.

Thanks,
Rob

I noticed that also. I downloaded and started reading the manual after I placed my order. I can confirm that the manual is wrong. My buddy got lucky and has his 22 f350 7.3 already and it has the 25 and 40 amp upfitter circuits.

Yup, owner's manual is wrong.
Upfitter switches are the same from 2017 to present.

Just about everything in the 2022 manual is wrong as it refers to the upfitter switches including the fuse amperage and location of the upfitter wires and pass thru wires. Call up a 2020 owners manual and it has the correct information.

The 2022 owners manual is jacked. I asked the same question a few months back.

Check out the thread here:

Here is a pic of my 2022 F-350 upfitter fuse box and associated wiring. I have not gotten into the kick panel yet to locate the other end of the pass-thru wires, but there are several threads showing their location. I have already tapped into Relay#1 and there was plenty of wire to work with.

The only difference I see is on my 21 f350 the pass through wires are very short almost impossible to work with in the cab(been talked about many times) but on my 22 f350 the pass through wires are easy to reach and work with behind the pass side kick panel. Its almost like ford was listening to us and made them longer in the 22s....................... or maybee just s**t Luck
