I have a 1995 f800 with Lucas girling brakes. My parking brakes won’t release. I had to modify the brake pump because they don’t sell it now. Placed power steering pump from 86 Chevy . Not sure if it needs high output pump? Or something else is causing it not to release. I also had the main valve rebuilt and the rear brakes have been replaced within the last year. Please help. !!! Adam

I did one of these with the GM PS pump...seemed to work fine.
The actual brake pump is available from Haldex, but I don't think there's any difference between it & the GM pump. https://www.haldex.com/en/na/vacuumh...e-pump/rhbp1x/

Hi yes I had my parts guy get me a pump but the problem was getting the reservoir. Mine was leaking so I put a standard Gm pump on w/reservoir and modified to work. My parking brake won’t release and the fluid is backing up out of canister when you engage in the truckI was told the system requires at least 900 p.s.i to work . I researched and found standard pump is 800 to 850 p.s.I. High performance pump from PSC is at 1400 it runs $220 and Haldex one is 220 also which I’m thinking it runs at the higher pressure too. If you have any suggestions I’m all ears. Not sure why they don’t sell reservoir any longer. Thanks
Other info here, may or may not be specific to your issue but it's background at least.
You can uncage those parking canisters by turning the bolt in the center of them. Note the spring pressure is extreme and don't fiddle with them without a clear understanding as to how to cage them etc.
And if you do that, chock your wheels in both directions, level ground or not.
