Just curious how long it's taking you to get your truck after ordering it. Thinking of ordering a new Lariat this week. My salesman is saying 3-1/2 - 4-months. Is that about right?
10 1/2 weeks for my 2022. XLT with UTT, 5th wheel prep, spray in bed liner & wheel well liners. Adaptive steering & the tonneau covers seem to delay the orders from what I have seen.
Ordered 5/24. Delivered 9/23 and took it home 9/24, exactly 4 months later. 122 days or 17.5 weeks.
Definitely go check out the tracker. You’ll see some that have waited as little as 7 weeks and some that have ordered back in March and still waiting to get scheduled. There’s really no rhyme or reason, and I certainly wouldn’t plan your expectations around anyone else’s… unless that expectation is that you just won’t have any real idea.
If you order don’t add on AS. And even things like spray in bed liners, 5th wheel prep packages and even tonneaus are holding some trucks up. My suggestion is that if you can get something aftermarket don’t add it to your order, just order it yourself and install it (or have it installed) after you get the truck.
Also, pick a dealer that you know and trust or you know others have had positive experiences with. There’s a thread on here from Granger Ford and they were offering 2% below invoice with a $1000 down payment if you order from them. That may be worth looking into.
My truck has been “in production” for 6 days which seems like a long time to me but I ordered the spray in bed liner, tonneau cover, Ned step, wheel well liners, and mud flaps.
My guess is that’s why it is in production for so long.
The options you select and the availability of components will determine your wait.
It is a total crap shoot. The one I ordered 7/3 has just finally been "sent to plant" and will probably get built shortly. It would have been a full four months. I got tired of waiting and found one on a lot. If you need it sooner your best bet is to use a large dealer and insist on a priority code of 10 on your order. Many have seen builds take place in 6-8 weeks this way. My smaller dealer claimed to be powerless to get mine delivered in less than 14-16 weeks. My order was an XL/STX trim so that doesn't play into it as much as dealer priority and allocation IMO.
Thanks for that. The bed liner is part of the package so i dont think i can get it removed from the order. I might get rid of the tonneu cover tho. Thats about all i can do i believe. Who know tho.
