Probably starting to stream
Moving and should finally have an internet that makes streaming reasonable. .Now the question is - stream what? As I get older, my 'infotainment' options are more automotive with a bit of football. I do like a few regular shows, but not a lot.
Went googling today and found little in the automotive area. Mostly interested in seeing people work on cars to restore/sell or whatever. Velocity/Motor Trend had a few of those, but they're all pretty much in reruns now. I used to really enjoy Fantomworks -- because Dan Short ( the owner) .was a lot of fun to listen to when he started getting po'd about something to do with a car. He seemed fairly talented as well.
As far as football, I'm hoping that there's something better than the NFL network.
I know it's Sunday night and nobody's here, but maybe tomorrows somebody will chime in.
Thanks,
hj
My interests too have changed but the occasional NASCAR race or NFL game are programs I'll watch on antenna TV. While there's no end of "content" maybe 5-10% is worth watching so you're always getting the bad (and really bad) with the good.
Roku's a reasonably priced access point. It's got some of it's own content and allows access to other free and pay-for services. You probably want YouTube if you're trying to access car, build, mechanical, and related videos. It's free. YouTube TV is another streaming service with a pretty hefty price tag.
My wife handles it in our house. I just don't want to know what we spend to watch TV in the evenings....
