Longtime lurker, first time member. I pulled this '57 F100 out from a field with the goal of just getting it running and driving, nothing fancy. It originally had the Y block, now it has a 351W & C6. The engine has a Sealed Power CS764 cam, Edelbrock intake and was rebuilt at some point. So far I've installed power disc brakes all around, longtube headers, Holley street warrior 600cfm carburetor, Flowmaster 40s, aluminum radiator, electric fan, new wheels and tires, replaced some suspension components, relocated the gas tank & built a wood bed.
Between this truck and the '64 C10 I bought in 2019 I stay busy. The C10 is my restoration project, it has a Chevy Performance 350 crate motor, I put a Muncie m20 behind it, power disc brakes all around, Hooker headers, edelbrock intake manifold, it wasn't a frame off restoration, but I've replaced nearly every bolt on it.
Future plans...possibly a suspension or CV frame swap, I really like driving this truck daily! Most recent The day we brought it home
Thank you everyone, I haven't joined the Texas chapter yet, I'll look into it. The truck sat in Belville TX for 11 years, and before that it was driven in Alvin. Finding parts has been an adventure so far, but I'm happy to have saved it from rotting in a field or being sent to the crusher.
