My Adaptive Cruise control is not working. 2019 F350 SRW Lariat.
Setting it to "normal" on the dash still gives an "Adaptive Cruise" error.
is there a way to turn the ACC module off with FORScan, and have the normal Cruise control work?
And does anyone know the setting to do so?
I have a 3000 mile drive coming up and need to get it working quickly.
If both varieties of cruise are not working there is an issue somewhere else. You should start with looking at all of your fuses, electrical connections, etc.
Have you been messing around with FORSCAN and caused an issue?
I believe in the advance settings section of the cluster display you can switch it between regular and adaptive cruise.
Thanks,
That is what I was referring to when I mentioned, "setting it to normal on the dash". I was in the advanced setting and set it to "Normal", if I activate the cruise while driving, I still get " Adaptive Cruise is not available"
If I go back and look in advanced, it is still set to Normal., but cruise wont work.
It is like the ACC hardware is bad of something. That's why I want to go into FORScan and tell it not to look for it.
I have not done anything in FORScan at all. So far as far as I can tell, all the fuses are good. I found the "gray multipin" connector at the rear, mentioned in other threads, and cleaned it put Dielectric grease in it. unfortunately, that didn't help.
At this point, I just want to tell the truck ACC is not there. and see if it works with Normal Cruise.
Thanks.
Any other ideas?

Thanks, As mentioned above, I greased the rear connector, and checked fuses. I have not done anything in FORScan at all previously.
If you have FORSCAN you should plug in and look for DTCs and / or other error codes. Something else is amiss. FORSCAN can also initiate a calibration for the adaptive cruise system. If you are able to get all of the DTCs cleared you should try it. It only takes a few minutes of driving around for the calibration to complete.

I had that happen a few times. Try cleaning the sensor in the bumper.
An Update and further information. I have had this issue a while. I am just getting back to it. and realized a couple things I should have mentioned...
I get an error when I turn Truck on. "Pre-Collision Alert" and on FordPass, 9on my phone it says "PRE-Collision assist not available"
Back story, New to me truck had a Ranch Hand bumper and ACC module relocated. ACC Worked FINE. Sold the Bumper and mounted the ACC Module back on an original bumper. ACC worked about a month. Quit working on a rainy day if that matters. to anyone.
I have been getting the error below since, and no Cruise
It has a new Harness that also plugs into the LED fog lights.
@B-ManFX4 when I unplug the module all together, the Cruise control "grays out" on the dash settings so I cant set it to normal or anything.
Plugged back in, Clearing the DTC's, when it rereads, the DTC is back. I ran the Calibration, and it said successful. (see pictures attached)
Any other suggestions, or do you think the module is bad?
OR, any suggestions on how to turn it completely off and use the normal cruise? assuming normal cruise is not in the ACC module???
Cleaning the module did not help...
At Truck start-up

UPDATE: I GOT it turned OFF.
found enough places in PCM and IPC to say off or disable, and Normal Cruise works....
I will work on the ACC at a later date. at least I have a cruise control for this LONG drive
Good job getting it turned off. Collision Avoidance is done through the RADAR unit so that it is not a surprise that the adaptive cruise didn't work. I was going to say that your FORSCAN error message regarding the alignment or adjustment is incorrect could be a clue. When you decide to work on it again park the truck on a level surface. Make sure the RADAR unit is level. Use a square held against the front of the module and a level on the square and adjust the mounting bolt in or out to get the module level. Run the calibration routine again.

Any idea how to turn off the module in Forscan so I don't keep seeing the message "pre collision assist not available"
I'm sure I can search, just thought someone here might have a quick answer.
It is unplugged but still on the list of modules..
Thanks
not sure if it will help
but on my wifes edge the acc will freak out every now and then cause faults or simply decide i need to slow down real fast.
its always a BUG or road debris that gets in behind the plastic trim protective panel on the lower grill.
once i clean out the bugs or dirt. it works fine until it goes wonky again.
