Column replacement

I have a 96 F250 powerstroke with a Manuel trans…….I understand a steering column out of a 93 F150 gasser with an automatic trans with work….thoughts ?? Thanks

I don’t think an auto trans column will work with a manual truck in any instance. Could be wrong tho. You’ll probably have to find a manual one

I’m not sure what it entails, but I was told I could remove the auto shift parts from it. But thanks again

I suppose it’s possible I’ve never actually tried. You might have a hole in it where the original shifter was. Again I’ve never actually tried

Most steering columns from 1992-1997 (even up through 04 with pickups and Crown Vics) will physically bolt into your pickup. Swapping some parts that are specific to your vehicle is possible including the column shroud covers, steering wheels, and button contact rings.
