I installed the Ford trailer TPMS kit in my 2018 Superduty, and used it with a bumper-pull trailer. The kit replaces the 7-pin receptacle in the bumper with a combination receptacle for both the 7-pin and the TPMS cable.
I just replaced the TT with a 5er, and want to shift the TPMS to the new RV. The truck has a 7-pin receptacle in the bed (Part of the Ultimate Trailer Tow package), but it seems the combination receptacle will not install there.
What is the best way to hook up the TPMS cable? Is there a replacement receptacle for the in-bed 7-pin plug? I could simply dangle the cord over the tailgate to the receptacle I. The bumper, but that does not seem like a very elegant solution.
