plastic fuel tank options?
Good evening everyone, my 88 250 is leaking from the front tank (only tank) a nice steady drip. It dosent look all that bad but i can see some rust, there is a plastic cover type thing on the front where it seems to be dripping from (ill try to go grab a pic in a few) From what i have read repairing it dosent seem to be a real viable option, and while replacement tanks are pretty cheap (100 for a black one and 150 for a silver one) I really would rather put a plastic one in there and be done with it, is that an option?

What tanks will fit? And which trucks came with plastic tanks from the factory? I don't mind doing a little bit of fab work if needed

1987-1991 I think any 150-250 had the plastic midship tank.

I have never bought a tank from a salvage yard but I would think you are absolutely correct, Fuel would be a huge liability. Thanks Scndsin

yea, the 351 runs great but the fuel,ugh especially when towing. I have a 12v that i need to get swapped in
