Thanks in advance for any input.
I have a 08 250 single wheel looking to change to dully. I have bought a 350 single cab for parts. Both have 10.5 axles 250 is a pick up and the 350 is a cab and chassis. Is it possible to just change out hubs and axle shafts from one to the other. Ratio is different but the axle shafts are the same spline . Just rolling it around in my head and it should work . If not I'm going to change out for rear end. Just need to change mounting per each because of cab and chassis to pick up. Any advice would be grateful. Thanks
I'm not sure it can be done. I am thinking you are wanting to swap dually hubs and axles to single axle differential housing? I believe that the axles themselves should not be the same length as I thought dually housing rears (pickup) were wider than a single axle rear. I'd say go for it and post back here what you learned. Once I know I can help anyone else wanting to do this in the future.
