Steering box

I have a 1968 f100 2wd manual steering. I unbolted the steering box from the frame in order to run new fuel lines behind it. Now I can’t get it back in to position to bolt back up. I’m looking for some advice on the best way to tackle this. Do I need to disconnect the steering column or the pitman arm in order to get it bolted back into position?
thanks.

Are your rubber body mounts and brackets on the body in good condition? Are they rusted badly and collapsed? If so you better take care of that before you go any further. If all of that is good. Try un bolting the steering column then bolt the steering box in place, after that you should be able to mate the rag joint to the steering column.
