Got the radiator done and installed! Went as smooth as I hoped for....did plenty of other stuff while i had it apart.

Pros:
the radiator from rock auto showed up in good shape, no bent fins, nothing wrong with it. The box was even marked fragile. All connections were the same as the factory radiator. It even comes with seals over the trans lines and in/out of radiator. I still poured 3 gallons of hot distilled water into it, let it sit for 5 minutes and poured it out. I just used my compressor to blow air through the trans lines on it. All seems ok.

cons:
the only issue I have is on the sides of the radiator there isnt the tabs to remount the rubber strips that go between it and the intercooler, so now I have an approx 1/4 gap between the two. Not 100% how it will do over time? I'm concerned I'm not getting the same air flow over both the intercooler and radiator which then it will probably run hotter, but hope the stock fan pulls enough air through.

But, now it's done and hope it's good!?

Did you purchase an OEM radiator or an aftermarket from RockAuto?

Sorry it didn't show a brand on your post, just a picture of the radiator.

I’ve had the Mishimoto 1st Gen radiator in mine for almost 6 years now. It didn’t have a spot for the rubber strips to the intercooler either. I was bummed as well, but it hasn’t been an issue.

I thought my radiator had started leaking at the seam, so I placed an order for pick-up at Summit Racing for an all aluminum Cold Case unit for $650. It was the only one in stock, and of course, it was damaged.

I never did replace the radiator, haven't lost any coolant, and now I think the coolant came from the radiator-to-degas hose when I disconnected it to pull the air filter. So that worked out just fine with me.
