Safe travels, enjoy your trip. 10 hrs can be a very long time pulling a trailer, if Google maps says 10 hrs, it will be much more, just take breaks when needed.

Figure 50 miles per hour as an average. We travel cross country and just got back from over 2600 miles.

Use cruise control and enjoy. Not a difficult tow. I 40 roads not too bad where you are going.

Pigeon Forge's traffic isn't that bad. If you go into Gatlinburg, be sure to have a good amount of gas in your truck. Every time I've been there, I see a passenger get out of their car and go shopping and finish, only to find the driver of the car has only moved a couple hundred feet down the road

I arrived back home yesterday from Tennessee. On our way back on I-81 north I had a blow out on the passenger rear tire on the toy hauler. It was a new experience changing and RV tire on the side of an on ramp. After I changed out the tire we made it to the campground that we booked in Va for an over night stay. I started to level the trailer in our site and notice that I had more tires that were separating in between the tread (the other 3 tires). Long story short, I had to wait until Monday morning to locate new tires in New Market Va.Found a tire dealer 12 mi from the campground but he only had 3 tires in stock. Changing three tires in a campground with limited tools was not my idea of a good time but we made it home safe.

The toy hauler will be getting a new set of shoes next week. I decided to get a set of Sailun.

As for Tennessee, we had a great time. We were not stop the entire week. The Sun Resorts campground was awesome and I recommend it to anyone who is planning a trip to Pigeon Forge TN. The wife and I didn't really care for Gatlinburg. It was a lot like the Canada side of Niagara Falls. We were expecting a small town with a lot of history to see and explore. We did take advantage of the huge amount of hiking trails to chose from. Over all, Tennessee is a great place to vacation.

Glad you made the best of it. Stinks about the blowout, be thankful you were handy enough to get what needed done. I'm curious of what the date code on the tires and if you had them aired up properly? My tires are 2015, I'm really thinking it's time.

My Hauler came with Trailer King tires and a 2019 date code. Only put around 3k miles on them. Prior to leaving TN I checked air pressure (good to go). The man who mounted the new tires told me that the shop gets more than their share of shredded ST tires in the shop. It helps when your located a mile off I-81.

I have an appt tomorrow afternoon for the Sailun tires.

I'm also looking to buy a 20 ton bottle jack. Any suggestions are welcome

I use a Harbor Freight 20 tone bottle jack. I also built some brackets to make it easier/safer to lift trailer axles. If you would like one, PM me.

If you have not gotten tires yet, you might consider Goodyear Endurance. They are what I plan to buy next time. I have not done any research on Sailun tires.

Goodyear edurance have been good. no blowouts, couple of road hazards but tires did not come apart.

I have two remaining from the orginals I bought that are actually wearing out. Not due to weather or time. Not sure of the miles as I lost my log book, but over 20K anyway.
