CCV Reroute

2011 F250 6.7 200k. put a ccv reroute on the truck a few months ago and everything seems to be just fine. I've heard to put it back to stock but idk if a reroute kit is actually better.

So... what's the problem. A CCV reroute won't hurt anything, assuming you didn't route it to the exhaust (which apparently some people do). If its not causing issues, no reason to go back to stock. Who told you to go back to stock and why?

I've heard from a lot of people that it will make the turbo seals fail. Which is odd because the truck always has white smoke come out of the tail pipe when i give it about half or more throttle.

You're opening Pandora's box there... The theory is, by rerouting the crank case vent to the atmosphere, it is no longer under a vacuum and the case can build pressure faster than it normally would. This is how, again in theory, you get a turbo seal failure. Stock truck, stock loads, I highly doubt you'll have a problem, but that's just me and I'm not a mechanic by any means. Maybe someone who knows the science behind all this can comment.

I didn't want oil in the intake, I also live in a state that has pretty strict inspections so I went with the Mishimoto catch can kit that grabs the oil then feeds the air into the stock CCV filter. That might be a viable option for you depending on what your goals are.

Another option is to run a Mishimoto oil catch can to keep all the crap out of the intake.

I will definitely look into that. The turbos on these things aren't good anyway in terms of longevity.
