I have the ITP kit installed, and it is easy to do. There is another kit available from someone else, can't remember whose, but I didn't like the way the return line was routed and the mix box kept by using that particular kit. The ITP kit seems to have a better approach, in my opinion.

Here's the link to ITP >> http://www.itpdiesel.com/store.php?c...on=show_detail

ITP kits is tough to beat, however the filter has to be changed regularly. However your stock fuel filter will last longer.

I noticed ITP kit is 5/8 inch. Is this the size of the line in the tank that it attaches to?

The ITP kit with the Baldwin filter should have 3/8 inch lines . However, Dennis does sell a 5/8 inch pick-up kit.

So the kit linked above at ITP is a passive filter with no electric pump integrated in. Wouldn't that make your stock electric pump work even harder?

I am looking into a pre pump filter, but I thought they all had some type of pump integrated in?

You bet it will. However, the fact that you are gutting the filters at the tank when you do this makes up for it

I installed mine before Dennis had the option with a filter. I installed a very large sub-micronic filter before a lift pump anyway.

Get the filter or you'll be buying a fuel pump later on due to the screen inside the inlet getting clogged. (personal experience)

That is only good if you want to install your own filter. Either way, you are removing the filters in the tank. Are you sure you want the crud in the tank going past your pump?
